Easter 2011

It's official, I've become one of those parents who makes their babies take pictures with the large people in costume...I'm lucky she didn't cry like all the babies did before her.

I did get in an altercation with the manager.  We stood in line for 25 minutes waiting for the Easter Bunny to get off break and then waited an additional 30 minutes to get the picture.  There were 6 mothers in front of me, all of which took their own pictures while the photographer took pics too.  We get up there and the manager who had spent that whole time on the telephone until we get up there yells, and I mean yells, at me that we can't pictures, it's policy.  I then tell her that's not very fair considering 6 other mothers did it before me.  She has the nerve to tell me that she "didn't see them" and "only enforces the policy as I see it being broken".  Seriously?  We yell back and forth for about 10 minutes she tries to show me the policy because she's too dense to get that I don't care.  If that's the policy, it's the policy, but how about enforce it every time, not just when you want to?  There were FOUR employees excluding the Easter Bunny, all of whom saw the moms taking the pics and no one said a word.  Secondly, don't yell at me, nothing will get me to red faster.

Ah well, she didn't cry, we got  a good picture, and apparently I was distracting the manager enough while she screamed at me that grandma (who is visiting) was able to snap a few pictures of her own any way.  For those of you who know me, I seem to end up in these situations quite a bit and I don't back down, I don't like being walked on.  I guess it hadn't happened in a while so I was due.

I didn't even think about this. I'm a lax mother. :) She looks so cute. I can't believe how much change has taken place between months 2 and 3. Scarlett's 3-month shots are on Easter.
